Barbara Jean Bryant, affectionately known as B.J., was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 1, 1949 to the late Lillie Ruth Daniels and Oscar Moore. She entered into eternal rest on October 12, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Barbara attended Pitt County Schools and graduated from C.M. Eppes High School in Greenville, North Carolina class of 1968. She retired from New York State Department of Social Services in 2014.
Barbara was preceded in death by three husbands, Marion Parker, George Mims, and Charles Bryant; one sister Ann Forbes.
Barbara married Maion Parker in 1969 and to this union three children were born, Carolyn Teresa Parker, Gerald Lamont Parker and wife Tiffany, and Tammy Renee Hobson and husband Wayne, all of Greensboro, North Carolina. Later in life Barbara became a foster parent to three sisters which she raised and loved as her own, Shanice Walker, of Greensboro, North Carolina, Deanna Brown of Syracuse, New York, and Charice Trichoche of Patchogue, New York. She also leaves to cherish her memory, 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lossie Brunskill of Riverhead, New York; three brothers, Roy Daniels of Riverhead, New York, Anthony Moore of Chicago, Illinois, and Kim Moore of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother-in-law Billy Bryant, of Greenville, North Carolina; her two BFF’s, Carol Williams and Mary Robinson, of Richmond, Virginia; one goddaughter Monica Parker of Richmond, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
