Calvin Daniels Obituary

Mr. Calvin Earl Daniels, 70 years of age,  of 118 Trent Circle, Greenville, NC answered the Master’s call on Sunday, November 29, 2020 and transitioned to eternal rest. He was born to the late Warren and the late Mary Daniels in Pitt County, NC. Calvin was educated in the area schools, including Pitt Community College in Greenville, NC. In 1975, Calvin and the former Waverly Hardy was wed in Holy Matrimony. Calvin was gainfully employed and retired from NAACO Industries in Greenville, NC following 42 years of dedicated service. His amicable personality and warm spirit were admired by many, both family and friends. A fatherly figure to his son and grandson, his love illustrated an instructional direction to lifes journey. In addition to Clavin’s late parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Daniels. Loving and cherished memories of Calvin will remain in the hearts of many including his wife of forty five years, Waverly Hardy Daniels; son, Shon Daniels of Greenville, NC; grandson, Holden Daniels of Greenville, NC; brothers, Jessie Daniels (Diane) of Greenville, NC, Bobby Daniels (Beverly) of Winterville, NC, Carlton Daniels (Jackie), Donald Daniels (Catherine), Arthur Daniels (Vanessa) all of Greenville, NC; sisters, Mary Mills (Tyrone) of Winterville, NC, Shirley Daniels, Bettie Daniels, Geraldine Gill (Charlie) all of Greenville, NC; uncles, Jasper Boyd (Willie), Willis Boyd and Arthur Boyd; in-laws, Jimmie Hardy of Forest Hills, NY, Peggy Hardy of Simpson, NC, Ethelene Hardy-Stover of Greenville, NC, LaVerna Lewis of Philadelphia, PA, Janice Howard of Jacksonville, NC, Vickie Hardy Powell of Raleigh, NC; goddaughter, Donna Battle (Michael); godson, Reginald Watson; twenty-six nephews and nieces and a host of relatives and friend.

Please observe the social distance requirement by staying 6 feet away from others.

Avoid hugging, kissing, or touching others.

Please wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds.

Please use hand sanitizer when available.

In an effort to bring as many members of your family, friend, co-workers, and the community together to participate as they would in normal times, we will be providing live streaming of the funeral services to provide access to anyone who wants to feel and be a part of the service.

It is critically important that families be allowed to share their loss with others through a traditional family gathering.  Rountree Family Mortuary is willing to help you plan a more traditional service once the public health circumstances have improved.  This is a rapidly evolving situation and information and guidance change frequently.  We will continue to update you with new or relevant information as the need arises.
