Ms. Carolyn Jean Hardee departed this life on April 11, 2022. She resided at 4309 Charles Boulevard, Greenville, North Carolina.
Ms. Hardee was born in Pitt County on November 13, 1962 to the late Arthur Lee (Boy) Hardy and Sudie Mae Hardy. She received her education from G. R. Whitfield Elementary School and graduated class of 1981 from D. H. Conley High School. She joined Burney’s Chapel FWB Church at an early age under the leadership of the late Elder J.H. Wilkes.
Ms. Hardee was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Lee (Boy) Hardy, her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Alice Mae Langley, and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Little.
Ms. Hardee worked for over 20 years at National Spinning and for five years at Fountain Power Boat, both located in Washington, North Carolina.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Sudie Mae Hardy of Greenville, North Carolina; three brothers, Willie (Ada) Hardy of Grimesland, North Carolina, Chovan Hard of Roper, North Carolina; and Richard Hardy of Greenville, North Carolina; two foster brothers, Alfonzo Kennedy and Christian Moore, both of Greenville, North Carolina; five sisters, Diane (Gervis) Leathers of Grimesland, North Carolina; Linda Hardy of Greenville, North Carolina; Patricia (Bryant) Coleman of Durham, North Carolina; Tracy (Billy) Bonner of Bath, North Carolina, Stacey (Norvell) Johnson of Raleigh, North Carolina; one foster sister, Octavia Thomas of Charlotte, North Carolina; two aunts, Fannie Hardy of Greenville, North Carolina and Jo Ann (Charlie) Hopkins of Yatesville, North Carolina; one great-aunt, Annie Hardy of Simpson, North Carolina; one great-uncle, Edward Chapman of Simpson, North Carolina; a devoted special friend for 24 years; Larry Warren and his two sons, Larry A. Warren and Jamar Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
