It is with profound sorrow that the Thigpen family announce the passing of Mr. Gene Arthur Thigpen, age 78, of Washington, North Carolina. The Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 2:00 PM til 6:00 PM at Rountree Family Mortuary & Cremation Service, 3152 US Hwy 17 S., Chocowinity, North Carolina 27817. The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022, 12:00 Noon at Job's Chapel Baptist Church, 121 Quarter Road, Swanquarter, North Carolina 27885. Mr. Thigpen will be laid to rest in Greenhill Cemetery, 1970 US Hwy 264, Swanquarter, NC 27885.
