Judy Carol Whitman

Judy Carol Whitman age 70, of Washington North Carolina, passed away on January 4, 2021. She was born on July 15, 1950, in Logan County, West Virginia to Rextell Ray Whitman. and Frances Viola Whitman (Mahon). She spent most of her life in Cleveland where she worked in several factories.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and never knew a stranger. Judy also enjoyed playing spades and other card games in which she did with her family and friends. She was a family person who loved her children and grandchildren. She had her own unique sense of humor. Everyone who knew her loved her.

Judy is preceded in death by her father, Rextell Ray Whitman; mother, Frances Viola Whitman (Mahon); brother, Raymond Whitman.; sister, Rosie Adeline Strunk (Whitman) and nieces Kimberly Ann Watts (Strunk) and Tina Lynn Strunk.

She is survived by her children Patrick Whitman, Dustie Renee Sexton, adopted daughter Kayla Barber. Grandchildren, Michael Sexton Jr., Aubrey Strunk, Jessie Strunk; siblings Charles lee Whitman, Drema Ann Whitman, Joseph Michael Whitman, and many nieces and nephews.

Per Judy’s request, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to a non-profit organization of the donor’s choice.

Services will be held privately at a later date.
 
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
