Obituary


     Laurena Pitt Dais, was born on July 20, 1944. Laurena is the daughter of the late David and Helen Pitt.  Laurena was born in Fountain, North Carolina.

     Laurena graduated from Greene Central High School in Snow Hill, North Carolina.

     Laurena was a beloved wife to the late Leon Dais.

     Laurena was a loving and caring mother, sister, and aunt who had a heart of gold.  She loved her family dearly.  She especially loved her grandchildren, and it was nothing she wouldn’t do for         them.

    Laurena continued her education in Connecticut.  She received her bachelor’s degree from the Southern University of Connecticut.

    Laurena was a foster mother, in which, she loved and cared for every child that came into her home.

    Laurena was preceded in death by her siblings, Roosevelt Pitt, Jess Pitt, Jason Pitt, Mable Foreman, Evelyn Pitt, Helen McMillar, and David Pitt.

    Laurena Pitt Dais leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Bruce Dais (Gina); one daughter, Aaliyah Dais; six beautiful grandchildren, Taliyah, Paris, Tristan, Araya,  Laylanie, and James Dais;        one sister, Menerva Rogers of Farmville, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
