Lisa Denise (Parker) Person

Lisa Parker Person fondly known as Lisa Ball was born on August 20, 1967, in Pitt County to Dorothy Parker and Roy Lee Simpson Sr. She departed her life on June 13, 2023, at ECU Health Hospital. She is proceeded in death by her mother Dorothy “Dot” Parker.

Lisa was the person you could always count on and would be sure to give you a smile on her worst days. She made sure to show up for her family and friends. 

She was born in Greenville NC at Pitt Memorial Hospital. At an early age Lisa's mother moved the family to Stamford Connecticut, where she attended primary school and graduated from Stamford High School in 1985.  After high school, she earned a certificate to become a CNA. In 1986 she moved to Greenville and worked at Beverly Health Care for many years before transitioning to private home health care.  Lisa has been a CNA for over 36 years and taking care of others was something she took pride in.

 She lives cherish to her memory, her husband, James Person of the home; one loving daughter, Candace Burney of the home; one grandson, whom was the apple of her eye, Mikel Burney;  two sisters, Gwendolyn Carroll of Bethel NC and Stephanie Cooper (Dwain) of Greenville, North Carolina; one brother, Roy Simpson (Janelle); four nieces, Janell Cooper, Mya Hutchinson, Briana and Ivy Simpson; three nephews, Terrance Parker, Justin Cooper, and Khalil Hart-Simpson; two special cousins, Reggie Baker and Tomeka Davis;  one special aunt, Bessie Baker; best friend, Mia Best; a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. She leaves a legacy of faith, love and family.
