Rani Renee Barnes

     Rani Renee Barnes was born on October 8, 1987, to Mr. Bobby Ray Ward and Ms. Deborah Lynn Barnes, both of Greenville, North Carolina.

     Rani graduated from Pitt Community College in 2013 and continued pursuing her education in Early Childhood Education.

     She was employed by ECU Health Edgecombe and ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.  She also worked as a substitute teacher with Pitt County Schools.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

     Rani Renee Barnes departed her earthly life on May 25, 2023, and leaves to cherish her memory forever to, her father, Bobby Ray Ward (Lisa); her mother, Deborah Lynn Barnes; five sisters, Asia Barnes-Booth(Carl), Latoya Barnes, Kateshia Tyson, Jessica Tyson-Smith (Sherkeil), and Dana Barnes (Jeff) all of Greenville, North Carolina; one brother, Bobby Dequan Ward of Greenville, North Carolina; three nephews, Tijakheem Jones, Dyquaveon Godley, and Nahledge Moore; three nieces, Dasani Godley, Derionna Moore, and Lyrik Smith all of Greenville, North Carolina; grandfather, James Louis Ward, and grandmother, Maggie Lee McCray; three aunts; four uncles; several close cousins, Adonica, Sherina, Renee, and Gabby; five special friends, Kathy, Keke C., Savetra, Ashley, and Keke K.; and a host of relatives and friends.
