Mr. Tyrone Cleopas James, seventy-one years of age, transitioned from his earthly childhood home in Tarboro, North Carolina to live eternally with the Master on Thursday, November 17, 2022. He was born February 6, 1951 to the late Cleopas and Mattie Revish James of Edgecombe County, North Carolina.
Tyrone graduated from Patillo High School in 1968. He had numerous jobs throughout his life and worked at Black & Decker until its closing. He accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was united in holy matrimony to Phyllis James for 42 years. Tyrone enjoyed cars, westerns on t.v., and he was an excellent cook.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Phyllis; three children, Tammy James of Frederick, Maryland, Sherry Murphy of Tarboro, North Carolina, and Jamenson (Arlene) Holmes of Hampton, Virginia. He also leaves behind one sister, Jetter (Otis) Eason of Goldsboro, North Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
His Journey’s Just Begun
Don’t think of him as gone away
hs journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.
